CMHA ROLE

Legacy Pointe at Poindexter is a transformative housing development in Columbus revitalizing the historic Poindexter Village neighborhood. Spearheaded by the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA), the project provides modern, affordable housing options, including mixed-income apartments and townhomes. CMHA’s involvement was crucial in securing funding and partnerships, ensuring the project’s alignment with community needs. Key funding sources included Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Legacy Pointe at Poindexter is part of the Choice Neighborhood Initiative Grant. It includes amenities such as green spaces, a community center and proximity to public transit. This initiative underscores CMHA’s commitment to preserving neighborhood heritage while promoting economic development and inclusive, sustainable living environments.
